Main Interests: 

My main research focuses on Ocean Dynamics, Circulation and Mesoscale processe of the  Subtropical North East Atlantic, Azores Current System, Gulf Cadiz and Atlantic Iberian Margin.

Presently, I am working on understanding the dynamics of the  Mediterranean Outflow and its interaction with the upper ocean, the generation of Beta-plume circulations and its interaction with the wind-driven circulation, and how the combination of these processes may explain the asymmetry and characteristics of the circulation features in the Azores Current System and on the Iberian basin.
