The 1st IDL Annual Conference will take place on June 4th, 2019, at the FCUL campus, bringing together the whole IDL community and helping to shape IDLs research agenda.

The conference is organized in 3 transdisciplinary scientific panels across all research groups:

P1: The Earth dynamics panel aims at gathering contributions improving the understanding of the Earth dynamic system at different time and space scales and at both its solid, oceanic and atmospheric components, as well as their interactions.

P2: The Natural Hazards panel welcomes contributions on all type of studies on natural hazards: fundamental research, numerical modelling, forecasting and monitoring strategies.  These include, but not only, studies on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, storms, tsunamis, fires and landslides. Studies on the relationship between dynamic earth processes and extreme natural events are also welcome

P3: The Resources & Environment panel welcomes all researchers who develop activities on the survey and exploration methods of natural resources, including renewable energy sources, metallic and non-metallic materials, water and hydrocarbons, as well as fundamental studies or management and technological solutions in sustainability of urban and natural ecosystems, energy, soil, water, mining and wastes treatment.
